South Africa 2015: Boulders Beach, Rocky Shores

Boulders is home to the African Penguin after a colony of them settled in the western cape of South Africa in 1985. Ant generously drove us down south to meet these well-dressed birds one day, and let me just stew in anger at the sheer beauty of this country once again… Scott and I had a joke going on that the entire country is photoshopped – it’s just so unreal! The blue of the sky and waters is just unbelievable.

I dressed to match the penguins’ monochromatic colour scheme, but couldn’t resist a pop of colour in the red of my very useful satchel (it was large enough to hold my camera) and the bling of my vacation go-to shoes. Wearing Dressgal shirt & bag, Lowry’s Farm skirt, 24:01 sunglasses, Anonymous Ism socks, Something Borrowed shoes. Photo assist: Scott.
We spotted a total of 108 penguins while strolling down the boardwalk!
We made our way to Rocky Shores to catch the sunset. So beautiful.
