Singapore 2014: National Museum Children’s Season Masak Masak

I visited the National Museum for Children’s Season with Ade and Puey recently, and it was so fun! Featuring contemporary interpretations of some of our childhood games, Masak Masak is a free exhibit that runs for about another week till 3 August 2014.

The museum’s front lawn has inflatable mockups of some of our favourite old playgrounds.

I added rain to the existing umbrella drawing, and we created a hat just for Ade.
We had way too much fun playing a reverse version of gigantic five stones. It was one of my favourite games as a child. Photo by: Ade.
There was also an area for kids to explore the mechanical side of things. Needless to say, we got sucked into all its activities.
Puey and I had a hard time trying to accomplish the goal of getting this contraption to pick its nose. Photo by: Ade.
Awesome intricate toilet paper roll cut-outs I’d only ever seen online! Photo by: Ade.
